A Random Poem

Okay, here's a random poem I wrote. It's not about me - it just sorta came out. Hope you like it.


She looked up to the sky and its absurd shade of blue.
Her music cranked up loud, eyes focused on her shoes.
She blinked away the tears that always plagued her so.
She lied and said 'I'm fine' to those who wanted to know.

But she longed to be free of the pain that held her down.
The ache in her heart seemed to pulse; she felt that she would drown.
The pain seemed to be a weight that was too much to bear;
Few times it left her; but those quiet moments were rare.

She tried to stay isolated, to isolate her pain.
but the less she talked about it, the more weight it seemed to gain
Until the pain lashed out - oh, how her heart was sore!
The pain became to great - she couldn't take it anymore.

She raised up arms against herself - with a bang, the pain was gone.
And so was she, and her sprirt fled with the dawn.
At last she was free, but the freedom with a price.
True, she had ended her pain, but in the process, ended her life.
